Monte Carlo casino
Monte Carlo! I had forty-five minutes to see the casino, then I had to meet Pauline outside. I couldn't just have her come in to meet me, 'cause you actually need a passport to come inside, and Pauline didn't have hers with her. I love Blackjack, but the minumum bets at the tables were between 200-300 dollars! After doing some not so swift math, I decided to hang out at the roulette, and bet number 21. Exactly forty-five minutes later, 21 hit, and I walked outta there with about $350 more than I walked in with. Ahhhh.
Pauline cooking soup Perfume statue
On the left is Pauline making soup for dinner one night in Provence. She never dressed for it, but we'd been camping for several weeks at this point. The picture on the right is of a statue in Grasse (the supposed perfume capital of the world). The statue is of a woman selling perfumes (go figure).
View of Toledo
Toledo. We wanted to see some of Spain, but didn't have much money. So we picked a spot, and stayed there for a few weeks. Toledo was it.
Toledo street This was the street just outside the place we stayed. I loved the twisty, dark pathways. And the twisty dark people on them.
Here is the bridge leading into the part of Toledo we lived (up on the hill). Toledo Bridge
And below is a view of some of the rooftops from above.
